Smithville is a colonial village featuring 60 specialty shops and a host of eateries.
It was founded in 1787 but fell on hard times and eventually became an abandoned stagecoach stop

Historic Smithville found new life in 1952 when a local couple acquired the property just 12 miles from Atlantic City and renovated it, clearing the way for it becoming a year round attraction today.
