Remembering Katrina
A chat with rescuer Scott Shields
Scott Shields with members of the 82nd Airborne conducting water rescues in New Orleans 20 years ago.
Twenty years ago, while reporting for CNN Radio, I was sent for about three weeks to cover Hurricane Katrina. One of the people I came across while there was Scott Shields who was coordinating boat rescue efforts as head of the Search and Rescue Foundation. I knew Scott because of his work in New York City and I thought it would be interesting to just have a conversation about some of the things we saw, separately and together, while covering the hurricane.

Brilliant work keep it up
