Everyone knows about the Truman Little White House, the Hemingway House, the Audubon House and the Tennessee Williams Home. But even the neighborhood homes where regular people live are pleasing to the eye.
Conch architecture was developed by Bahamian immigrants in the 19th century. The oldest house here was built in 1892.
Lots of the houses are nearly hidden by foliage which serves as nature’s air conditioning.
This house is on Solaris Hill, the highest point on Key West.
