The Murals Of Detroit

Stumbled upon these while cruising through the city

I was driving just east of what used to be called Detroit’s New Center and stumbled upon some fantastic murals on the sides of abandoned buildings. So, of course, I had to stop and snap some of them to share with you.

I’m told the city has commissioned murals like these throughout Detroit and I must say they make the neighborhoods much more pleasant. If you’re in or visiting Detroit you can find these murals and more along Oakland Avenue north of East Grand Blvd.
